The Story of Erik the Flutemaker

This dramatic story is about the adventures of the flutemaker  as he traveled Central and South America. It is also a tale of the people he met and the fascinating stories they told.

Erik will take you from his home in a chicken coop in Guatemala, to a president’s palace in Fiji,  to wrestling with a demon on an ancient Mayan temple in the Peten jungle, to the basement of a judge where guerrillas hid bomb-making  tapes. You will get lost with him on a live volcano, feed a street gang in Costa Rica, and play flute to a poisonous snake in the mountains of Argentina. Erik not only takes you on a journey outside but inside the soul and spirit.

All proceeds from this book are donated to build home for the Kids of Cascabel .

Flute blanks

A flute blank is a piece of cured, clean bamboo to make a flute. It is the excellent bamboo that I use to make mine.
It has no marks as to where to burn your holes. The only reason to get flute blanks is to make flutes from a good master flute. All my flutes will serve you as a good master to copy. So you can get a master flute from me or borrow a good one from your friend. We recommend that you spend some time investigating the side blown flutes on our website. Read up on them, hear them and then buy the one or ones you want to make. More info
