This is one of my favorite flutes with gorgeous, rich tones, this flute seems to be great for creative folks.
I recommend it for improvisation. It reminds me of the Renaissance times.

Going from all fingers down, to all open, and back again will tune your ear to this lovely scale. Alll closed but first finger up is high do.

I received my flutes about a week ago and I just want to express to you that these flutes are by far THE most wonderful flutes I have ever experienced. And I have LOT of them, many different types from many different places.

There is no question in my mind that there was deep care and love put into every step of the process in creating them.  Not least of which includes Linda's beautiful artistry on the Shakuhachi.  Breathtaking!

I recieved my flutes today and I love them, love them, love them.
 
The Vivaldi is truly sweet, a pleasure to play and every bit as creative as you say. And the Jiahu Crane, What Fun! The Natural Bamboo is beautiful and the burnings/carvings perfect for this little jewel. The smell, and taste of the newly Burnt Bamboo coupled with the sweet sound makes for a total sensory treat.

I find it responsive and easy to play, and the full two octave range is really solid and has a lovely tone.
