Minor Flutes

The minor scale is like down loading a computer program of classical renaissance music into yourself.

	The Small Minor 11 inches It was February 1975 and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival was on. The town would soon be buzzing with multitudes but under a tree on this quiet morning at the edge of town was Wallen the flute maker. I studied one of his flutes. “Wallen, why are these holes in such a strange pattern?' Gently holding his hand out to the flute I held, he said, “This is a minor scale! And this is what it sounds like.” The music was beautiful. My thoughts began to race. Some of my experiments in Hawaii sounded a bit like this but this was more complete. These holes are in such a strange position. I bet I could move these two holes over, make them smaller, and it would be a more comfortable instrument. The inspiration for my minor flutes was born. 	The Vivaldi Minor 15 1/2 inches This is one of my favorite flutes with gorgeous, rich tones, this flute seems to be great for creative folks. I recommend it for improvisation. It reminds me of the Renaissance times. Going from all fingers down, to all open, and back again will tune your ear to this lovely scale. All closed but first finger up is high do. Hi Erik,
We had traveled to India a few weeks ago and she brought her minor flute along and showed it off to every one there. The general consensus over there was that your flutes were way superior to any of the local flutes.
I always had a tough time finding an ideal present for my wife but with your flutes, I dont seem to go wrong.
